Firm Overview

Southern California Personal & Small Business Bankruptcy Law Firm

Consult A Southern California Bankruptcy Specialist.*

A bankruptcy attorney can help you get out from under your debt. If you are having financial difficulties or are owed money by someone who has filed a bankruptcy case--or whom you fear may file a bankruptcy case--it is always wise to seek advice from a Southern California bankruptcy law firm specializing in all areas of bankruptcy, including personal bankruptcy, reorganization, and business bankruptcy. We can help with credit card debt, medical debt, and student loan debt and can make recommendations regarding credit repair remedies.

Earle Hagen, Jeffrey Hagen.

Be wary of advice from an attorney unfamiliar with bankruptcy or an attorney who merely dabbles in bankruptcy occasionally and is therefore knowledgeable enough to be dangerous but not knowledgeable enough to be effective. At the Law Offices Of Hagen & Hagen, our Southern California bankruptcy attorneys have the experience to be effective.

Seek Financial Advice Early.

All too often people facing financial difficulties seek advice only after their problems have festered and are raging out of control, threatening their health, marriage, and employment stability. Timing is often critical. Consulting a bankruptcy lawyer on the eve of foreclosure, after a tax lien or earnings withholding order is in place, after marital community property assets and liabilities have been divided in a divorce proceeding, or after an adverse judgment has been rendered, may result in a significant sacrifice of options and the inability to plan properly for bankruptcy or other debt relief approaches. Seek advice early. At the Law Offices Of Hagen & Hagen, we often suggest strategies that take some time to implement in order to maximize their effectiveness, to best protect assets from liquidation, and to best reduce the risk of lawsuits in bankruptcy challenging the dischargeability of debts.

Don't Wait Until It Is Too Late. Please Contact The Law Offices Of Hagen & Hagen, A Southern California Small Business & Personal Bankruptcy Law Firm, To Discuss Your Situation.

Consulting With The Law Offices Of Hagen & Hagen Does Not Mean You Will Necessarily Be Filing Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy Is By No Means A Pleasurable Experience, But Neither Does It Have To Be Painful And A Debtor Need Not Be Ashamed

Bankruptcy Does Not Solve All Of One's Financial Problems, But It May Be An Effective Tool

The Decision Of Whether To File Bankruptcy Or Not File Bankruptcy Is Primarily A Function Of Three Criteria

Consider Credit Repair At The Conclusion Of The Bankruptcy Process

Bankruptcy FAQ

Should I list my monthly obligations, like my utility bills, in my bankruptcy case if I am current on such payments?

Generally no. If the debtor is current on his or her payment of certain monthly obligations such as utility bills, there is no point in listing the utility company as a creditor. In fact, by listing it as a creditor, it might prompt the utility company to demand a deposit for future services.
